RICHARD PARKER

Richard Parker graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Emory University in 2009 and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 2012. After law school, Mr. Parker worked for the Office of the Public Defender in Polk County for five years before moving to the Orange County Public Defender’s Office in 2017.

Mr. Parker has represented thousands of clients through trial in all types of cases from DUI to drug trafficking, child abuse, racketeering, child sex offenses, and murder.

In 2018, Mr. Parker achieved Board Certification as Specialist in Criminal Trial Law from the Florida Bar. Board Certification is a testament to Mr. Parker’s special knowledge, skill and proficiency in trial. 

Mr. Parker has tried over 80 cases in the last seven years in addition to handling several criminal appeals in the Fifth District Court of Appeals. Mr. Parker believes that it is best to keep the government on their heels which is why he has developed a reputation for his aggressive pretrial and trial litigation practice. Mr. Parker has devoted his life to criminal defense because he believes that human liberty is the most important fundamental right that must be defended at all costs.
